I bought a manual knitting machine for my house and developed all of the undergarments in the collection on the knitting machine. I used 100% Australian Merino Wool on the machine in brown, cream and camel. Whilst knitting on the machine, I manipulated the knitting by creating deliberate holes, tucks and ladders throughout the duration of each garment. I used different tensions on each knitted piece to create different textures on the final garment as shown in the images. Knitting was not easy and each piece took hours and hours and a lot of patience to produce. The knitting fell off the machine many times resulting in me needed to re start all over again after hours of work. My final collection will be shown in the next blog post. Enjoy these images of the knitting development.
